An Engagement.

Last week I got to spend some time with Stacy and her fiance. She's getting married next year which is coming up pretty fast!
We took a stroll around the Roger's square and had to be careful to avoid a few other photographers who had the same great ideas that we did. I had a lot of fun though, and Stacy looked so happy with Stephen.
Congratulations! I can't wait to shoot your wedding.

Good DNA

So maybe I'm a little partial, but I think these Lowery boys make the most beautiful children.
This is one of Nathan's 6 brothers, Eric and his lovely family.

I'm sure Trista had something to do with this too.....

And Emily...she just can't escape the Lowery eyes.
She's so beautiful. (makes me a little nervous for her teenage years, but luckily she's a smart girl!)

trick or treat!

Pizza, a quick pumkin carving, a last minute costume for mom, green makeup on everything, some impatience, and lots of candy.....it wouldn't be Halloween if it wasn't hectic.

I know this is a little after-the-fact, but we've been busy the last couple of days.

Could they be any cuter!?

I graduated high-school with Tara and she grew up to have the cutest little family.
We got to catch up while Gavin finished up his nap, and
when he woke up, he was in a beautiful mood.
He is adorable and was all smiles. He flirted with me the whole time!

I love when a client finds a cool backdrop for our photo shoot, and Tara was no exception. She scoped out a beautiful barn, and we knocked on the door of the nearest home to ask permission to be on this property. Thankfully, we were granted access.

Thanks Tara, Steven, and Gavin for a beautiful afternoon!

busy busy

I've been staying busy with family and kid sessions this week. I love it! I've slowly been adding pictures to the galleries on our website too.

Here is Julianne. This picture of her makes me smile every time I see it!

Nashville

I had so much fun hanging out in downtown Nashville with Suzanne who was a bridesmaid in Kelli and Jeremy's wedding.
We had so much fun talking and window shopping. It's sad that being somewhere like that makes me so giddy.
Maybe I don't get out much.

My buddy Elvis.

This was the "Batman Building". From the side it resembles Batman a bit, but I liked this side better.

and....a dog named Emma.

good times!

Friday night we celebrated the launch of our website, kimlowery.com. We had family and friends over for the big night. I was really thankful for my mom, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law who let me order them around and put together all of the food. And I'm really thankful for Nathan for being patient with me the whole time we were putting this website together, and for the cooking he did before the party! I had so much fun and don't have any pictures to prove it....well not many anyway. Thanks so much to everyone who came to support me and everyone who supported me from home. I had a lot of fun and need another excuse to have a party. Check out the website and let me know what you think.

Thanks Rachel and Jamie for the beautiful bottle of wine. And Diana for the beautiful bottle of champagne and the thought you put into a great moment!

The details

Help me celebrate the launch of our new website, kimlowery.com TOMORROW (Friday October 12th) at our home at 6:30.
I'm so excited that it's finally here. I'm just putting a few last minute touches on the site....okay a lot of last minute chunks really. I'd love to have everyone here who has supported me by reading this blog and by helping me build my portfolio. Contact me for directions lowery.kim@gmail.com

Mr. and Mrs. Cranford

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Kelli and Jeremy's wedding.
Here are some of my favorites. I'll have to post more soon, but for now, I had to share!
