I snapped these at my Dad's farm.

this is probably my favorite cookie cutter from my childhood, and it seems to be the kids favorite too!

The Lights

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas!

This is one of my favorite Christmas pieces. I got it from our good friend and neighbor 'Mrs. Louden'when I was 4.

One of our most important traditions is for Nathan and the kids to put up the angel topper that Nathan made when he was little.

Nathan and our neighbors helped each other put lights on both our houses.
This picture was taken before Nathan slid off of the roof! He's fine. No broken bones.

Grandma's house

This weekend we went to my Grandma's house for a Tennison family Thanksgiving.
I think this was the first one back at the house since both my grandparents passed away. I forgot how much I miss this place!

Attitude

Had to share these pictures of the kids.

I know it looks like
Emma has an attitude in
these next few pictures, but
this is just how animated her
face is when we have a normal conversation.

bubbles!!!!!!!!

When we got home from school the other day, it was too nice to be inside doing homework.

Jacob was very patient and worked relentlessly for....2.7 minutes to get this big bubble.

Family Pics

Larry Plumlee took these incredible family photos of us a couple of Sundays ago.
There are so many great ones to choose from that I'm having a tough time. It's a good problem to have!

trick or treat

According to the Today show, these were the two most popular costumes this year.
Not my fault.
It's what they wanted!

Say ARGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

We went 'Trunk or Treating' at our Bella Vista church with some friends, but that didn't last long. Our friends went home and we went to sonic for a free hot dog and sprite. Then...we went to the other Sonic for more. Then I had the bright idea to go to a fancy neighborhood in Bentonville, but when I drove by I realized that everyone else had the same thought as there were tons of cars lined up. So, we headed back to the Vista and hit all the lonely houses near our neighborhood. And guess what! They were so excited to see my little princess and pirate and so sure they were the only trick-or-treaters coming, that they basically dumped the candy into our buckets. Jacob was such a gentleman to Emma helping her in and out of the car and taking turns ringing the doorbells.
They really made out on the candy with 30 candy bars, 29 bags of M&Ms, and so on (we counted for a school project.) Needless to say, we've had a long week with countless sugar highs and ....crashes. I finally had to hide the bucket in a new spot. I didn't happen to get a shot of my own costume...I was also a princess by request!

new haircut

Larry Plumlee was over taking family pictures last weekend (those will be posted soon I hope) and while we were waiting on our next family, he taught me a thing or two about lighting. Anyway, I ended up with this shot. My hair isn't 'styled' the way it's meant to be, but I'm getting used to it this way.
I'm going to see my personal stylist...my sister...soon, and I'll brush up on my styling skills.

funny face.

Sometimes it's hard to get a great picture of Jacob with out a silly face. Sometimes though, he lets his gaurd down and says cheeze.

so cute!

the pumkin patch

I got to go on my first fieldtrip as a chaperone.
The kids learned that pumkins grow from a vine and not in a box from wal-mart.

Girl of Many Hats

When Emma's pre-school asked parents to share our careers with the kids, I was stumped.
What's my career!? I guess it's mom for the most part. But then, what are all these other 'jobs' called? I recently started working at the Switchback Cafe in downtown Rogers while Emma is in school. Of course I still have MK, and then there's photography....and a possibility for a small job in wedding invitation making. (I'm not sure about that one yet) I decided to 'share' my photography...skills with the school. I think the kids will love taking some pictures!

The Cafe:
I'm loving this place! The best Gelato and Pininis.
I had my first true lesson in becoming a barista today.
I can't wait to learn 'latte art'!

This is James Maynard. He's the artist for the cafe.
He brought his dog Peety the other day.
