Em-isms

Emma will be 4 years old on March 5th. Something I love about Emma is that she's always positive and upbeat. At least she always tries to be.

On Mondays and Fridays when Jacob is at school and Daddy is at work, we have our 'girl days' which almost always mean that we have to watch a 'scary movie' and eat popcorn. On one of our recent girl days, I pretended to be really scared of the movie she chose, and Emma suggested we pray. She clasped her hands together, closed her eyes, bowed her head, and said "Now, pee after me...." Of course she knows to say 'repeat after me' , but she didn't catch herself. It was very cute.

Yesterday she watched a short story about Black History Month and she excitedly said, "MOMMY, they just said 'if you follow your dreams they'll come true'...Do they mean in real life?!" It was adorable. I had to explain they didn't mean a dream you have while you're sleeping, but a dream you have in your heart. She was really excited to hear she can have whatever she wants if she works hard enough for it.
